VMware Workstation Tech Previews 2012 now available

A Public VMware Workstation Technology Preview 2012 is now available

Some highlights:

  • Windows 8 Consumer Preview and Windows Server 8 Beta supported as guest and host
  • Ubuntu 12.04 beta supported as guest and host
  • New OpenGL driver for Linux guests
  • Updated virtual graphics hardware
  • WSX: enables users to access their Shared virtual machines via a web browser without installing any plug-ins or web controls (only on linux host at this time)

    I am not able to download the VMwware workstation technology preview for ubuntu 12.04. I signed up and a got a windows saying that “Your request is submitted for eligibility”. When will I get the link to download?

      Hi Arun,
      strange behaviour: I just tried now and I can download it without any waiting list.
      If in a couple of days you can’t download, I think you should open a thread in the community.

        I created a new account and now I am able to download. Weird behavior.
